I actually feel sad about Dixie Carter dying...

I always liked her and actually had a hard time posting about her dying, shes more culturally significant then people give credit to. Sure Designing Women was SORT OF a Pepsi to Golden Girls Coke but Julia was fierce and deserves accolade. My mother asked for her "Unworkout" video for Christmas one year. I wanna say the box had her in a button down mens shirt and green stretch pants on it.... Now they can do their "unworkout" together in heaven...

I loved Designing Women back in the 90's and knew of a lot of queens that used to gather around to watched it.
Carter once jokingly described herself as "the only Republican in show business". She was a strong supporter of the gay community. R.I.P.

HILARIOUS.

I'm trying to remember where I saw it first ... was it HOUSE OF VADER?

It's so fucking off-the-wall, watch it in loving remembrance.

I DIDN'T KNOW SHE'D DIED!

omg, that's so fucked up! it doesn't seem like she was even that old, although i guess hal holbrooke seems like he's about three thousand years old...

she looked so good all this time! i mean, who would guess delta would go before betty white (perish the thought!)?

designing women was my jam :-(

i always assumed depressive HOARDER delta burke would go first. i love her, too, though. i love how she tried to put curses on people using the name game and her columbian maid's voodoo name, consuéla. and her pet pig.
