Honey. Xanadu + Alice Cooper + 1980's satanic mania + the 20 minute workout = Goldfrapp. AWESOME!

All it needed was a funny small robot side kick - or would that have been gilding the lilly?

I'm converting to Goldfrapp MUCH more effortlessly than Lady Ga Ga and her monotonous synth droning.

This song is obviously an hommage to Electric Light Orchestra; I love the visual nods to XANADU.

XANADU nostalgia might be overdone, especially for gay audiences, but not to the point that I'm sick of it.

Yet.

well thank gawd, because I always worshiped Alison Goldfrapp... and then the last album was suddenly such a downer... psyched to hear the new material.
thanks for the tip D !

I am very much on the fence with Goldfrappe because I don't know HOW to like the music (or rather what the best place to start is. At the beginning is not always the correct course with music)

But this song and video...wow. Blew my mind. I really felt uplifted listening to it! That is rare in music nowadays.

Thanks for posting!

Jubell @ 11:22 PM,

You should start by listening to all the Goldfrapp singles that became hits. Here's a list:

Even the slow ones are gorgeous! My favorites are "Twist," "Ride a White Horse," "Caravan Girl" and the new ones "Rocket" and "Alive."

These songs and videos are all on Youtube.
