Living for this song right now!

SO FUCKING GOOD... perfection... just skip the first minute and a half, it was the only embeddable version i could find. I havent seen this in 20 years. As a kid I remember watching on tv while being babysat by my sisters best friend Vals dad who looked like Bob Seager. Its SO GOOD... Aaron Cobbett clearly took this as a LIFESTYLE GUIDE and I couldnt agree more?! Its just so HAPPY, if you dont like it I just feel bad for you.

This is great! I used to "play" Xanadu all day long and truly believed if I went fast enough on my roller skates that I too would have flashes of rainbow light following me!

Did you notice that at minute 3:35, the cut away kinda reminds me of your House of Vader blog header?

For you,
Xanadu

Funny, it is very that! Keen of you to notice :)

Weird coincidence -- I just watched all of XANADU streaming last week.

I would say great minds think alike, but I guess XANADU is playing in every fag's mind 24-7.

ELO really were spectacular musicians. BOOGIE NIGHTS' soundtrack also turned me on to this song:

This song made me feel so sexy I took a picture of my ass and sent it to my boyfriend who's visiting France right now, and that's not something I do everyday.

Wow?! If thats not a stamp of approval I dont know what is. If something motivates you to take a photo of your butt and send it to your bf it must be a great thing?!

Love the song - it made me think how great it would be to live in a world totally designed and created by Aaron Cobbett! You know, the clothes, make-up, hair, lighting, sets, models, etc.! Wouldn't it be fabulous? Of course we could toss in a few others, such as yourself. But only if they fit in with the overall scheme of things. It would be so glittery and fun!

I just downloaded Xanadu two weeks ago, and even with all the competition within that same film I thought this was the most godawful piece of cinematography ever. Loved it.

Ah, the 80's - there will never be anything like 'em. I'm glad I was old enough to grow up during them!

btw, Dave - here is a better version:

oops, forgot:

this sequence was filmed at the old Fiorucci store in Hollywood, CA... some of my best friends were involved in this movie and my cousin Brett even makes an appearance as a roller skater in the end sequence ;)

i used to lie in bed and listen to the soundtrack on my walkman (remember those, i thought i was SO hip! lol) and visualise the movie in my head.

not to mention: ELO (what a band) AND Olivia Newton-John?!? what the fuck is left to say? Jesus, I LOVED that woman - her, Lyndsay Wagner and Stephanie Powers! hell, i still love her. in fact, it's still one of my dreams to see that woman live. teh gayness.

LOVED it, dreamed it, lived it!
