Mugler mens Fall/Winter 2011 ... I had to get tested after seeing the collection.

Ok The review is curiously exactly what I said days before the show came out which was "This was styled more than designed, the criticism ran, a moving editorial rather than a fashion show" and if you read below you'll see that I wrote that even before the show came out. My critique was in reference to the image used to promote the show... ".. my two cents would say this is an image about styling NOT fashion, which I usually prefer but for an AD FOR A SPECIFIC LABEL I feel it should be all about the FASHION.. NOT the STYLING. I PREFER styling as I dont really care about fashion at all, I never have.. BUT for an ad I think if it looks like an editorial then the clothes arent strong enough and for MUGLER it should DEFINITELY be strong enough. I mean if any label was BOLD it was MUGLER... "
So, back to the clothes....They were fine, boring, but fine, but is FINE really enough for Mugler? They werent anything I would wear, and if anyone is a Mugler fan its me. We must remember this is NOT true Mugler but a kind of bastard child, sure it shares the same name but it wasnt exactly WANTED....
You know the clothes arent strong when youre talking about the models... and UGH... They could not have been WORSE. The clothes and the models had ZERO sex appeal.. but beyond the lack of sex appeal it was the worst model casting I've ever seen. So much so that I'm actually GLAD there was no sex appeal being you could SMELL THE SCABIES on some of them.... I mean ugh... Ack?!... Some of them were straight up METHY MUTOID PARTY BOTTOMS?! Just WRONG, strong cheek bones arent enough to ignore WEIRDO PROPORTIONS and knee jerk thoughts like "YOU HAVE 17 versions of M.R.S.A"... And that liquid latex on the face, applied with SQUIRT GUN?!?!? And sorry its 2011 facial tattoos are the OPPOSITE of transgressive and CERTAINLY NOT something to BASE A SHOW AROUND.... Oh Miss Mugler must be SNICKERING HARD....
P.s I just watched the video... I like the gloves with orange thumb but BIG DEAL that is not enough for me! Tying in Lady Gaga with the music was a huge mistake. That totally cheapened the brand and legitimacy and again tied it into the designers styling strengths which is not what you want to feature as a designer.

Apparently, the Zombie Boy was a Facebook phenomenon before the Mugler people ever got a hold of him.
