Kylie Minogue, APHRODITE LES FOLIES 2011 TOUR, she gives you exactly what you want.

I saw the link on Roids and Rants. Im not a Kylie FOLLOWER, but no shade, like the only song of hers I have is "I should be so lucky", but I am a FAN. She seems like a cool person, is a cancer survivor, and really gives her gay fans exactly what they want and for that she deserves a lot of Kudos. This must have a cost a pretty penny and someone knew what they were doing with it. The use of the screens with the swimmers was very well done, the fly away scrim, the costumes are good (thongs under togas), the set is exactly how it should be...Good for her for being willing to spend the money to put on a well crafted spectacle. I think im extra appreciative of the art direction because I went to Alegria here for the first time ever specifically because I was told they put on a good show and have great art direction..... um... they had three gogo dancers in genie costumes from a drug store at halloween and a some paper lanterns.... I paid 80$ and stayed up till dawn for three gays in a genie costume?! I felt tricked, New York City so often takes you for a ride on the RIP OFF WAGON you just become soured on the entire city. Maybe Im bitter but I dunno, I just dont love New York. I cant say where else Id live but I sorta just wanna have a bf, lose facebook, and live on Mars or something.

HA!! We have yet to go... most likely never will... and EXACTLY for some of the reasons you've described... On the other hand, Kylie, I still have yet to get tix, which by now only the 'nose-bleed' sections must be available. sigh.

Your feelings about Kylie sum up my own completely. I don't have any of her music and I don't follow her career at all, but I have nothing but love since I went to her last show in NYC (in 2009, I think). Her show is WAY better than Alegria, and by that I mean better than Alegria the last time I attended it in 2003 (at Sound Factory). Actually, Alegria was pretty good back then, or at least the drugs I used to do back then were good.
