Understanding Dior, Galliano being suspended, and the power of the slightest gesture.

This morning I heard the word on the streets of Paris.. "They sacked Galliano!" Apparently John Galliano head designer of Dior got canned for getting in an argument at a cafe' in Paris. Now I read they just suspended him for making anti-semitic remarks while drunk at a cafe, which he apologized for...
Galliano is amazing, but I wouldnt mind a rest. I think people need to understand EVERYTHING doesnt have to be FOREVER. Id LIKE Galliano to take a break, just so I dont grow tired of it. No matter how amazing something is if you keep seeing it over and over youre going to grow accustomed to it. So I say lets take 5 years OFF, then he can come back and makes us all gag and say "WHAT WERE WE THINKING GIVING HIM 5 YEARS OFF?!?!" In case youre not familiar with the different design houses Galliano for Dior is the best, after Thierry Mugler 95'-99'. In fact his shows were BETTER then Mugler but I prefer the Mugler designs, but its a very close race. As far as shows are concerned Dior did a better job. Whoever did the art direction is amazing, Id love to meet them. The statues with the animal heads in the Winter 2007?! I gag. Giselle does an incredible job in that show and Im not even a fan of her but at 3:54 she does this gesture that TOTALLY won me over, we've ALL had to do it at some point its the "Oh... its her..."Hi"...ugh." wave... At that moment I was like OH, giselle is a FULL QUEEN TOO?! .. werk... I wanna meet her now just to tell her how much I appreciated that gesture. Whats amazing is THATS ALL IT TAKES. ONE gesture that just SEALS IT. You can be a performer and put on the most amazing spectacle ever but if you dont connect with the audience its just empty, and contrary you can do almost NOTHING but if you make the ONE PROPER GESTURE you can HOOK A FAN FOR LIFE. Giselle just did it for me there, Grace Jones does it over and over again in View to a Kill, Pete Burns did it by rolling his eyes at the camera over and over again too, and Pete Burns seems like a TOTAL ASSHOLE, but because he did that , Im a fan and no matter how far he sinks into insanity with that orangutan plastic surgery, I'll still follow what hes doing..
I posted these two shows before but I have no idea where they are I listed them improperly:( So Im not CRAZY and just talking about the same thing like its the FIRST TIME, I promise!
Anyhow, these shows are the HAUTEST of the HAUTE and EARTH culture has never been so HAUTE. Get into it, its our highest point as far as aesthetics are concerned.

Agreed. There was 2 millennia worth of Western culture thrown down into that little spectacle. From Picasso to Virgil. Love the statues too. A medium sized copy of that Laocoon would be awesome to have at home...

If you've seen the contentious video of Galliano, you would surely sgree that he has ruined his career, not least by being a drunk lout in a public place; but anyone who spews that rhetoric when drunk is thinking it when sober... it apparently didn't occur to him that he himself would have been carted off to Hitler's camps had he been around 65 years ago.
