Best photo of a lady hand ever... and yes this is a legitimate category of portraiture in my mind.

"Work for Love", played over the past weekend from my 80's file, while getting ready to carouse the streets of Chicago, and I remembered the paper insert record sleeve and how hot I found one of the band members, and the argument I got into with a friend who preferred 'real guys', like Morrissey... or the earliest, mid 80's forms of hipster- 'I'm not going to try n look my best- trust fund baby in a lumpy thrift store sweater- I don't care-wanna do some blow off an old Jiffy-Pop tray in my loft and talk all night smoking clove cigarettes', kind of guys... cuz they were realer.. er

I fucking love this album! The singer, Al Jourgensen, tried to change his image pretty dramatically after releasing it to fit into more of a metal/punk aesthetic, and ended up disowning the album. I guess I'm one of the rare gays who loves both images. Jourgensen claims that the record industry pressured him into making a disco record, but if that's true he got pretty carried away with it. I guess that's a good way for him to explain away the fake British accent he uses on the record too...
