I went to Lady Gagas Workshop in Barneys

Its cute, Im glad it exists, and I had to go because I actually do appreciate the concept and I wanted to see how they handled the concept / art direction etc etc. I also wanted to go so I can say "Remember when that lady had a CHRISTMAS SHOPPE?? ... IN BARNEYS, in like 2009 or something?!" to which of course the persons response will be "No."

As you can see from my video footage the shop is almost as busy as the most popular sweater shop in Mumbai. I thought it was cute enough and wanted to buy something but there wasnt anything cute enough. There were these lollipops that were like a lady's finger with a pointed red nail on it that I considered but I dont have room for a GAG gift that doesnt have a punch line until TWELVE YEARS FROM NOW. Speaking of GAGGING what was Barneys thinking making a LOLLIPOP basically shaped like a SPEAR?! Its a LONG FINGER with a POINTY RED NAIL on the tip and its HARD AND SHARP. Now I do appreciate the concept of DANGEROUS CANDY (which needs to be a tranny stripper name or perfume.) but SOMETIMES, believe it or not, SAFETY COMES BEFORE FIERCENESS. Mark my words some child is gonna TEAR THEIR UVULA OUT and its gonna be LADY GAGAS FAULT. Its gonna look like that scene from Serial Mom where she kills the the daughters boyfriend at the SWAP MEET with the FIRE POKER and the GORE is just DANGLING off the tip "like a RUNNY NOSE!?!"
If I had to give an honest critique about the whole thing I would say its cute enough but if youre not a Lady Gaga Fan theres nothing to buy because its more like a LADY GAGA COSTUME SHOP then a creative holiday workshop. I felt as a non Lady Gaga fan there was nothing to buy, which I feel was a mistake by Barneys as what I feel they should have done was fill it with cool, unique, and colorful things that are in the same vein as "Lady Gaga creativity" but not a coffee mug with her face on it per say. I would have bought something if it was just cool on its own design and had nothing to do with Lady Gaga aside from being in the store and being "fierce", but I wasnt willing or interested in buying an 8$ cookie with her face screened on it like a cake at the grocery store, thats not fierce, its CHEAP AND TACKY... SEE BELOW

ps I did NOT make this cake nor did anyone of my friends the photo was found online. Not that I have anything against it. Id actually like a cake with me, or grace, or brigitte, or swamp thing, or Dee Snider on it. I just wouldnt put it on cookie and try and sell it for 8$ as an "ornament", sorry just because there is a CHOKING HAZARD of a ribbon stuck to the cookie it doesnt qualify it as an ornament, wall hanging, or object d'art?!

OMG I remember that scene in Serial Mom. One second before they were admiring the awesome Swap Meet collectibles that were from the Franklin Mint! John Waters does have his pulse on middle america...

I remember that scene from Serial Mom. Just before that the teens were dazzled by Franklin Mint collectables at the Swap Meet!

Kris Zar is an emerging UK sensation and a gay icon already, bigger than Lady Gaga! He looks so sexy in his first video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EQWp6qUfqM
