Ok, the neon butterfly one , I had recorded with my cassette tape recorder (by hanging the mic. over the channel changer) and lunging for it the minute that one started. Of course I have now a crazy high rez version of it on my computer, ipod even. You also realize the same folks that brought you that ad eventually brought you Tron... right? BUT! My Holy Grail of 7-up commercials (similar to your stacked ice cream poster of the 80's) is... drum roll.. the Winter '75-'76 campaign 'We See the Light' but the Christmas version (duh) with Christmased-up lyric to the same tune, overhead aerial shot of a house, zoom in from the outside to inside to an Xmas tree covered in ornaments that come to life, pan to large party in full swing, laughter.. etc.. I can't find ANYTHING on that anywhere... of course that brings me to my favorite Men's Chanel ad that ran during Xmas '82-'83, which again I've never found one jot, not one tittle on!

That last one is amazing. That rainbow at the end? Are you kidding me?

I'm always intrigued by the 70's nostalgic versions of the 20's, 30's and 50's. Why were there so many rainbow neon hot dogs in the 70's? People really started using food items as a decorative motif in the 70's too?

I can't believe the butterfly commercial was so thoroughly ripped off by Xanadu, and Xanadu was started FIVE or SIX years later.
