My grouchy, bitter, jealous, angry, yet SEMI WISE ass is over seeing queens post this pic of whats his names kid. Its basically DRAG..man drag.. I do it all the time!

So many queens are posting this pic and I am NOT FALLING FOR IT! This photo has so many tricks in it its basically DRAG. Its man drag. 1. All men look good squinting (blue steel, dont think he doesnt know this. Its no "casual pose") 2. The cigar in the mouth (unlit mind you... annoying) makes the jaw bigger and stretches out/tightens the face while simultaneously allowing for that squint face to be made. 3. The arm across the belly blocks the fold in the belly from where hes sitting yet shows the part without the fold insinuating the rest is flat, which it isn't. No matter how ripped you are there will always be a fold in this position. 4. The rolled up sleeve features the most muscular/hard part of his arm but covers the bicep and shoulder which does not appear very developed but the draping adds size to both. 5. The open shirt at the chest HINTS at a pec but then also covers it, its more like a FOLD and that shirt may as well be taped to the chest like JLos dresses. Its NOT CASUAL. 6. He has a good ear and magical nose. I pull these same stunts when taking a picture BUT there is a difference. Because hes straight gays think this is REAL... THIS IS NOT REAL. I mean it IS REAL, but its as REAL AS US.

David, doesn't he look kinda familiar to ya? That is Scott Eastwood, Clint Eastwood's son. That pose is a classic old time Clint!

I thought pretty much the same thing. The interview was full of tired masculinity tropes, like how he only drinks whiskey and only drinks it straight, that sounded like they were written by a publicist. He's being managed like a studio starlet from the 1950s.

I do nor know why anyone would think a model shoot is a candid not staged photo. Like I believe the cover of Muscle and Fitness is real. If I want real I get out my Diane Arbus Photo Books. I like those. If I want totally wieird hallucinogen realness I would look at my Joel Peter Witkin books. If I want cute ... I see models.

All that being said...Aren't all sexy photos, good photos, professional photos staged by a photographer. Even our selfies, we stage and pose, adjust the lighting, turn to our 'best side', wear clothes we think we look our best in? Ok, not everyone takes the time to look their best in a photo. There are lots of bad selfies of guys with nasty, dirty, or girly surroundings.

I saw several shots from this same shoot on Tumblr today, and its very obvious that they were going for a certain look of hypermansculine with touches of all American man. To me, they look like advertising for a cologne or Lands End. Over contrived.

Sure, he looks good, even sexy, but with the right tools and the right photographer, most average guys can look above average. Is he hot? Eh, I wouldn't turn him away. Are people saying he's hot because he's the son of a well known celb? Of course they are. People LOVE fame. We have songs about Fame and mindless TV shows where people are falling all over themselves to sell their souls for their 15 minutes of Fame. For me, he's just another guy.

If he's going to gain some sort of public presence or status, I hope he uses it for a purpose. Ether make the word a better place, entertain us, or design something fabulous, and not just suck off the teat of your family heritage.

Yes, Absolutely theyre staged BUT there is a HUGE difference. There is ZERO nod to the camera in this photo and its shot as a "bio photo" as though its REAL. thats why its frustrating to me. Its trying to pass as "real", they would LOVE for you to believe this was not contrived but its SO CONTRIVEd and without the nod to the camera it is CONTRARY and therefor a LIE and FALSE and NOT PURE.
