I used to work at Gaslight Village.... Their slogan was "Gaslight Village... Yesterdays fun today!" I wonder why theyre out of business.

It was all 1890s themed and there was an "Ice Revue" in the Opera House. Id hear it every day as I worked as a game operator when I was 14. The lady singing in it sounded SO MUCH like Bette Midler when she sang "Wind beneath my wings". I even told my mom and her best friend and neither believed me that she could possible sound so good. So one day I snuck over to see her while she was singing only to find out the it was just two crappy ice skaters on a tiny rink the size of Pocono Jacuzzi spinny around to a recording of the real song. What a Polock I am.

NO 1 I think its a real sweet story of a kid who believed in such good things in the world that he almost made them come true - even while working - and while in gaslight village

We hit all the upstate tourist traps growing up - Story Town, Santa's Workshop and Gaslight VIllage. I actually loved them all.

At Gaslight I was fascinated by a horse drawn glass sided hearse- complete with coffin and black crepe drapery. Family Fun!
