Straight people make it so hard to appreciate them.

Is calling someone a faggot TOTALLY FUNNY?! Apparently everyone seems to think it is. I just quietly deleted the never ending posts people have put on my facebook page of an image I made to lighten up tensions that we all have and have some much needed fun with sexuality/ sexual identity and it actually hurts my feelings to have myself/artwork used as a joke. Yes I know its a surprise to learn I HAVE FEELINGS but I do and being used an insult in a fag joke, surprise surprise, doesnt make me feel great and disappoints me. I realize I have to be light about the subject, OBVIOUSLY IM AWARE OF THAT I DRESSED AS A FETISH UNICORN, but to have it used by "other" people as a joke where quite clearly the joke is "Blah blah fans are FAGGOTS" is just rotten and no different then any other rotten joke out there. I cant help but think the people "sharing" it "with me" arent getting the slightest enjoyment in knowing it hurts my feelings too which is even more disappointing.
If it was an image of any other minority people would know its "wrong" to use it as a joke but its still ok to make faggot jokes and its disappointing. I know the image has humor in it but it is MY JOKE TO MAKE. Having it used by people outside the culture makes me want to just sue them all.
What got me to write this post was that I have received endless links and posts about this image as though Im supposed to be delighted to learn Im used as the fag in a fag joke THANKS THAT FEELS GREAT! Im sure the people claim that they want to "share " it with me but I cant help but KNOW its just a slanted dig and they actually get enjoyment in passive aggressively insulting me. The shitty thing is I know it cant make them feel better and it doesnt make me feel better so whos getting a benefit out of this?

I think you are awesome. In the literal sense of inspiring awe in me. When I sent the pic to you on twitter I didn't intend any insult, in fact I thought you would be amused that you have become part of the modern cultural framework. Perhaps I misjudged, and I am really sorry if I didn't see the offense initially. Your post has enlightened me, and again I apologize.
